Jingle Makers?

I got this honkin' big muzhar when I ordered a riq. 14.5 inches across. It sounds great. Thing is, the jingles look like something picked up out othe scrap heap in a sheet metal shop.

Do you know anyone that makes jingles? The jingles that came with the thing are stainless steel cutouts from someone's sheet metal shop-scrap. Hand hammered bronze/brass/copper aren't necessary, but machined or pressed ones would be nice and sound a lot better.

At least with the steel one's I can play the "chains" part to Ramzy's "Halloween". HAHAHAHA!

You might try Cooperman ( www.cooperman.com ). When I purchased a riq from them a while back they gave me a bunch of different jingles. They also make various jingle drums too, so they have them in all shapes and sizes.

If you want excellent quality ones, contact Eckermann in Austria. You'll probably want to give him the diameter you want replaced (in cm). He does have a web site and he makes them himself from choosing the metal to cutting, etc. I replaced the zils on my Cooperman with a set of his for about $40-50 which included shipping. This was before the US dollar became a third world currency and were smaller than the ones you will need for a muzhar. He will come up on a google search.
