Re: Cool new darbuka articles at Fingers of Fury!
Fri, November 20, 2009 - 1:51 AMHe's right!
I've been subscribing to Matt's site now for a good 6 months and there are some excellent videos on rhythms, techniques and exercises.
He also does a regular web cam (good quality) up-dates, and he uses this to answer any questions that are posted on the forum.
It's one thing talking about drumming, but when you get a audio/visual response things are a lot clearer.
This is is a site for drummers of all abilities and levels and for the money, its as cheap as any workshop or lesson.

Fri, November 20, 2009 - 8:07 AMI'm impressed with everything I've seen. I'm saving up the ducats to sing up now.
I guess I can write it off as a business expense ; )

Sat, November 21, 2009 - 6:08 PMFor anyone that is stuck in an area that doesn't have experienced teachers, this is the next best option. I would recommend for complete beginners to get at least one Skype private lesson to concentrate purely on drumming technique foundations. -

Sat, November 21, 2009 - 11:42 PMI may give this a shot for 2010 since we do not have any local pros or masters who teach

Mon, November 23, 2009 - 6:58 PMI've been a member for almost 11 months now. There are over 100 videos on his site, so I always have something challenging to practice. I'll definitely renew my membership next year.
