Morrocan Trance

Just listened to: "The Master Musicians of Joujouka – Joujouka Black Eyes". The CD is one of my all-time favorites (recorded 1994). As far as I can remember the master musicians of joujouka only little have been mentioned in this tribe. I would therefore highly recommend them.

    Oh yeah!

Here's a free download of Jajouka (and some info on the correct spelling) off of their myspace blog:

I had this tape for most of the 80's, lost it and then a friend who had it put it on a CD a few years back, I was so happy - this recording has a vibe that unfortunately most of the other recordings I have heard just don't get to. DOWNLOAD THIS RIGHT NOW!

I saw the Master Musicians perform in concert back in '95 and they were incredible. I've been a big fan since.
I have a copy of the "Black Eyes" it's wonderful.

Naaah, some of their stuff is on the same wavelength IMO. Besides, I think Lee Renaldo did some desultory one-off performances with the MMoJ a while back that are out there in bootlegville somewheres...
